How do you stay motivated?

Lashawn Toney stays motivated by remembering her “why”—her child and the families she serves. Every challenge, milestone, and moment along her journey as an autism parent fuels her passion to keep going, even on the hard days. She finds strength in the progress she sees, not just in her own child, but in the lives of other families who are impacted by her work. Knowing that her voice, her platform, and her organization provide support, awareness, and hope keeps her grounded.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If Lashawn Toney were awarded the $25,000, she would intentionally invest it back into her mission through Jorgia’s Impact to expand support for autism families in meaningful ways. A portion of the funds would go toward creating more community events and programs, such as sensory-friendly experiences, parent support workshops, and inclusive activities where families can feel safe and connected. She would also use the funding to provide direct resources to families in need.
